Emma Joy’s Journey

Thank you for following Emma’s story and for faithfully praying for her. I don’t have adequate words to describe the gratitude we feel for all of your prayers and support. This website was established to keep you apprised of Emma’s progress and to share our ongoing prayer requests.

Intro

When Emma was born, medical staff advised us that the NICU experience would be a rollercoaster ride, marked by frequent ups and downs. Unfortunately their prediction has proven accurate. Following the initial honey moon period, Emma’s health issues began to surface. Each week has presented its unique set of challenges. Most nights I’m honestly too emotionally and mentally exhausted to text updates. I apologize for the delay in starting this blog and appreciate your patience. Some of you have been lovingly requesting updates, and I regret not getting this blog started sooner. My intention was to share Emma’s story from the beginning, but I have yet to find a platform that allows me to backdate posts. [Edit: I found a hidden setting on this platform that will allow me to!] Through my efforts on the blog updates, I have discovered an unexpected therapeutic benefit. It has provided a constructive distraction and an unforeseen means of navigating this difficult period. I’ve enjoyed it. Thank you to those who have gently pushed and encouraged me to write. I aspire to share this with Emma when she’s older. Just when I think the rollercoaster ride is slowing down, we encounter a new challenge.
